Priscilla Presley Shares Throwback Photo of 'Surprise' Gift From Elvis

Priscilla Presley is opening up about one of her fondest memories with her late ex-husband, Elvis Presley.

Priscilla, now age 78, was married to the late music icon for six years prior to their divorce in 1973. Elvis died just four years later at the age of 42, leaving behind Priscilla and their only child, Lisa Marie Presley. (Lisa Marie passed away unexpectedly at age 54 in January 2023.)

Now, over four decades after Elvis' death, Priscilla is looking back at a sweet memory she still cherishes, and it involves an adorable four-legged friend gifted to her by the King of Rock 'n' Roll himself.

"Elvis told me he had a surprise for me when I came to Memphis to stay," the Elvis and Me author wrote in an Instagram post on Monday, March 19. "He presented me with a darling little Poodle that I name[d] Honey."

Priscilla shared a throwback snap in black and white to show her followers the cute pooch, whom she was cuddling in her arms in the very retro photograph.

"He was very sweet and so loving. He followed me everywhere. He also traveled with me," she continued in the caption. "This is us as we just landed in Memphis from LA. Little did I know a photographer was at the Memphis airport and took the photo as I left the plane."

"Such an iconic photo of you," one of Priscilla's fans commented on the pic, which featured her rocking a big '60s style hairdo and her signature winged eyeliner. She appeared to be dressed in a checkered blouse, black leather gloves and ultra-high-rise bottoms.

"So gorgeous and your style is so remarkable I love this so much!!🩵" another commenter gushed.

One fan called the gesture "So sweet of Elvis!" while others urged Priscilla for more lesser-known stories about her relationship with the "Suspicious Minds" crooner.

"I love the idea of you posting these iconic pics and giving us the story behind them. This is one of my favs," another fan added.
