Utah Ski Resort Issues Conditions Update: "IT IS DUMPING"

Brighton Resort, Utah, had good news to share this afternoon, writing, "IT IS DUMPING AT THE MILLY CHALET" on Instagram.

The resort also posted a short video of the falling snow.

Brighton Resort has received 38 inches of snow in the past seven days, and a winter weather advisory remains in effect until later this evening.

While the snow is set to back off tomorrow during the day, the powder faucet should kick back on Friday night, potentially delivering over a foot of snow (or more!) by Sunday.

At the time of writing this, Brighton is sitting just below 500 inches of seasonal snowfall—the amount it receives during an average winter—due to a snowy February and March. It's likely Brighton will surpass this average mark by Sunday.

All the snow won't go to waste. This month, the resort announced plans to host the Milly Meltdown again, a seasonal extension offering lift-accessed skiing in May.

While Brighton hasn't shared what lift the Meltdown will feature, it offered access to the Milly Express from May 5th through May 29th last ski season. Before then, the more snow arrives, the merrier.
