All the new flights coming to Phoenix Sky Harbor in 2024: Here's where you can fly

The number of options for air travelers flying from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport continues to grow, including the city's fourth long-haul international airline.

Airlines remain confident in the travel and tourism industry in Phoenix, and each new flight route they establish at Sky Harbor is proof of that confidence.

It comes amid record passenger traffic at the airport, with 48.8 million passengers in 2023. That exceeds the previous record of almost 46.3 million in 2019.

New and returning flights will help Sky Harbor extend its popularity among leisure and business travelers, further aided by acclaim as the No. 1 airport for 2023 in the Wall Street Journal's annual airport rankings.

What new flights are coming to the Phoenix airport this year?

The biggest new flight for 2024 is Air France's new nonstop route to Paris, the fourth long-haul international flight at the Phoenix airport and the first to debut since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Paris route will launch on May 23 and fly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Planes will depart from Paris at 10:10 a.m. Central European Time and from Phoenix at 2:10 p.m. Arizona time. Air France will use a Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner with 30 business class seats, 21 premium economy seats and 228 economy seats.

The Phoenix-Paris flights will also offer connections within the U.S. and Europe, as Air France has partnerships that allow for transfers via Delta Air Lines in the U.S. and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in Europe.

Also new for 2024 is a Phoenix-Tijuana flight operated by American Airlines, expanding its robust network of routes between Sky Harbor and Mexico with a first-of-its-kind flight, the first nonstop between Tijuana and any U.S. airport. The route will begin on Feb. 15.

Also on Feb. 15, American will launch service between Phoenix and Pasco, Washington, adding a new way for Arizonans to fly to the Pacific Northwest. Pasco is a jumping-off point to Walla Walla and southeastern Washington.

Starting April 10, Frontier Airlines will be Sky Harbor's fifth airline to offer service between Phoenix and Los Angeles, joining American, Delta, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines. Frontier will also debut new service to St. Louis, Missouri.
