Bernese Mountain Puppy Reunited With Owners After 2 Months Thanks to Kindness of Hikers

Living in the middle of nowhere, such as in the mountains or the countryside, sure is calming and peaceful, but it could also be concerning, especially if you have pets who roam freely and perhaps get lost.

The sheriff's department Jeffco Sheriff in Golden, Colorado, just shared some wonderful news, posted November 19, about reuniting a lost Bernese Mountain puppy with its owners, and it's like the perfect Christmas miracle right in time for the holiday season.

This is so heartfelt!

The kindness of strangers, such as those hikers, can make a significant difference.

Pets, especially puppies, can sometimes get lost or wander away, causing distress for both the animals and their owners.

According to the Twitter post, two hikers found a dog on their trail without an owner in sight. While trying to befriend the lost dog, who was scared and injured, one of the hikers was bit in the attempt to carry the injured dog down the trail.

So in desperate need, the two hikers contacted Jeffco Sheriff. One of them stayed with the pup, while the other one came down the mountain for medical help and to lead the rescue team to the location of the injured dog.

According to the posters the owners put up in an attempt to find their lost dog, it has been two months since their dog was last seen, which one of the park rangers remembered, so animal control called up the owners to meet and reunite the pup, who had a broken leg.

The Bernese Mountain dog, Nova, is now safe and sound, back with its owners.
