Lonely Goldendoodle With No Friends at Puppy School Has People Crying

Nothing is more heartbreaking than when you send your kid to school or daycare and he or she doesn't make any friends. And by kid, I mean your dog.

The owners of Maverick & Jasper just experienced that with their Goldendoodle Maverick, who is a bit shy, as you can see in this video, posted on November 19.

Aw, this is so sad!

The staff told the owners that Maverick needs to work on his confidence.

Dogs, like people, can vary widely in their socialization skills and confidence levels. Shy dogs in a doggy daycare setting or puppy school may face challenges in interacting with other dogs and may need some extra support to build their confidence.

To do this, you can start by introducing your dog to the new environment gradually. Allowing your dog to explore the space at their own pace before introducing them to other dogs can help them become familiar with their surroundings and feel more secure.

Maverick just needs a little more time to get used to puppy school and all the other dogs.

Another step to take that can help your dog be comfortable with other dogs is to use positive reinforcement techniques to reward your dog for social interactions and good behavior. Treats, praise, and toys can be powerful motivators and help build their confidence over time.

It sure helps that Maverick's owners were present to give him some comfort, and hopefully, in time, he will make new puppy friends in puppy school.

This really takes me back to my first days in school—it was a lonely time.
