Top 20 'Bachelor' Moments: Rozlyn is Accused of Sextracurricular Activity
Over the past 20 seasons, The Bachelor has had its share of behind-the-scenes controversies and drama. (You’re welcome, Lifetime’s UnREAL.) And in season 14, one backstage brouhaha took center stage when a contestant named Rozlyn, who ostensibly was there to compete for pilot Jake Pavelka’s heart, was accused of having an “inappropriate” relationship with a producer. Rather than sweep the incident under Casa Bachelor’s rug, producers chose to have host Chris Harrison confront Rozlyn on camera — and that uncomfortable conversation, rose lovers, is no. 14 in ABC’s Top 20 Bachelor Moments countdown.
Rather than denying that she participated in sextracurricular activities, Rozlyn offers a sort of obtusely defensive defense — “So you think that there’s no other girls here that felt for other people before they came on the show?” — to no avail. Harrison tells her that Team Bachelor feels it’s “impossible” for her to build a “meaningful” relationship with Jake, and they want her to leave. Like, right away. “There’s a van waiting for you,” Harrison tells her. And in a shocking show of restraint, producers did not in fact turn around and book Rozlyn on their brand new spin-off, Bachelor Pad, which debuted that summer.
