'Bachelor' Top 20 Moments: Trista Overshares in the Fantasy Suite
Welcome to day 2 of the #20DaysofBachelor countdown, rose lovers! It’s the 20th season of The Bachelor, and ABC is marking the occasion with a two-hour special, The Bachelor at 20: A Celebration of Love, as well as a daily countdown of amazing/awkward/hilarious/bone-chilling moments from The Bachelor franchise. Today’s entry, dubbed “Trista’s Fantasy Suite Confession,” is all of those things and more.

A long, long time ago (2002), a young woman named Trista made it to the Final Two on the very first season of The Bachelor, which meant she earned herself a trip to the exciting and exotic location known as the Fantasy Suite. There, she and Bachelor Alex Michel — who apparently wasn’t feeling well — sit on the bed and discuss… orgasms. (What, you were expecting foreign policy?)
For longtime fans of The Bachelor, getting a chance to watch this clip again is like unearthing a fully-preserved caveman skeleton — just look how primitive life on The Bachelor was 14 years ago! First of all, is that a Fantasy Suite or a standard double at the Topeka Marriott? The quality of the accommodations has definitely improved over the past 19 seasons. And did you notice that Trista and Alex are actually eating the food? With their mouths? Modern Bachelors and their “ladies” do not partake in such uncouth behaviors today.
