Top 20 'Bachelor' Moments: Kelsey Tells 'Amazing' Story About Her Dead Husband
If there’s one thing The Bachelor producers love, it’s a woman with a tragic backstory — and man, did they hit the motherlode with a young “lady” named Kelsey Poe. As she tells Chris Soules above — in ABC’s pick for the No. 17 best Bachelor moment of all time — Kelsey met her future husband, Sanderson, when she was 19 years old. “We fell in love immediately… He was amazing, and unfortunately, he died.” Sad? Of course. But what makes this moment memorable — and very, very uncomfortable — is how excited Kelsey is talking to the producers about her dead husband. “Isn’t my story amazing?” she coos, beaming with pride. “It’s tragic, but it’s amazing.” Compounding the weirdness is the juxtaposition of Kelsey boasting to producers about her “amazing” story with footage of her making out with Chris on the couch in his hotel room.
