SpaceX rocket loaded with spy satellites seen over downtown L.A.

A SpaceX rocket carrying a set of spy satellites for the U.S. government was seen flying over downtown Los Angeles overnight.

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in Santa Barbara County around 1 a.m.

The launch was part of a National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) mission, according to a Space.com report.

Very little about the spy satellites has been revealed.

“We don’t know much about the payloads sent to space as p[art of the NROL-146, mission which isn’t surprising; the NRO typically reveals little about its satellites‘ activities and capabilities,” the report stated.
