Visiting Alameda Park Zoo this spring? Ticket fees increase in April.
The price of membership and daily tickets at Alameda Park Zoo will increase starting April 1.
The Zoo, located at 1021 North White Sands Blvd. in Alamogordo, will use the extra revenue to pay for labor, care and resources to maintain the zoo and animals.
Here's a look at the current prices, and what prices will look like after the increase.
Admission fees for the Alameda Zoo through March
Adults: $4
Children (5- to 12-year-olds): $2.50
Seniors (60 and up): $2.50
Military: $2.50
Membership fees
Individual: $30
Family: $50
Grandparents: $50
Individual Senior: $20
Individual Military: $20
Business or Organizations (max 20 people): $75
New prices go into effect at Alameda Park Zoo April 1

Bill to keep Zoo open go up
Alameda Park Zoo Manager Kate Rogers said the cost for food for the animals has doubled since 2023.
"A perfect example (of rising costs) is our feed bill; it went from $60,000 a year to $100,000 just in feed," Rogers said. "Just the cost in feed alone is a lot."
The price may have been impacted by the addition of animals on exhibit at the Zoo. Rogers said the Zoo two tapirs, two mandril monkeys and four kangaroos.
Another large addition is the upcoming Mexican Grey Wolf exhibit. Rogers said the duck pond area will be renovated and within the next two years an expansion on the bear exhibit will occur.
