TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The upcoming total solar eclipse will be a big deal for stargazers, and foodies can expect big deals and specials for the event.
A number of restaurants and chains are offering deals and specials to mark the occasion, which falls on Monday, April 8.

Burger King
According to TODAY, the burger chain is giving away free whoppers to Royal Perks members all day on April 8. Text the keyword “ECLIPSE” to 251251 to claim the buy-one-get-one offer, which can be redeemed via the BK app or website. The offer is valid through April 15.
Chuy’s Tex-Mex
Chuy’s is raising a glass to the eclipse with a new eclipse-themed margarita. The chain’s three-day “Tex-Mex Totality” party will feature its new Eclipse ‘Rita and $5 Chips ‘N’ Dips. The party begins Saturday, April 6 and ends on Monday, April 8.

Dippin’ Dots
On Monday, Dippin’ Dots will give online customers a 25% off discount on its flash-frozen beads of ice cream. Visit www.dippindots.com and use the promo code eclipse25 to take advantage of the offer.
Marco’s Pizza
Between April 8 and April 14, you can get 50% off all menu-priced pizzas when ordering online or through the app using the promo code ECLIPSE, according to USA Today.
Pizza Hut
The pizza chain is marking the eclipse with its “Total Eclipse of the Hut” deal. Customers can get any large pizza, including create-your-own pizzas with up to 10 toppings, Thin ‘N Crispy, Hand Tossed Pizza and Original Pan Pizza. The deal is valid for carryout, dine-in and delivery.
Sonic Drive-In
To mark the eclipse, Sonic has created the Blackout Slush Float, a limited-edition dragon fruit and cotton candy-flavored drink with sprinkles. Customers who buy the float will get a free pair of eclipse viewing glasses. The offer is valid now through May 5, according to USA Today.
