Sheriff: Stolen motorcycles, rare coins from Washington County, Va. found in TN home

SHADY VALLEY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Investigators report finding stolen motorcycles, rare coins and a variety of drugs while searching a home in Johnson County, Tennessee after an investigation in Washington County, Virginia.

Sheriff: Man arrested after Scott County, Virginia pursuit

According to the Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), a search warrant was executed at a Shady Valley home on Wednesday. The search followed a WCSO investigation into motorcycles being stolen from the Brumley Gap community in Washington County, a news release from the WCSO states.

Investigators with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office recovered the stolen motorcycles at the home of Scott Lowe, 65, of Shady Valley. While at Lowe’s home, authorities reportedly saw drugs and weapons inside.

A second search warrant was obtained which the release states led to the sheriff’s office finding 16 firearms, narcotics equipment and drugs in the form of meth, heroin and fentanyl.

In addition, investigators said they found a “large collection of rare coins” connected to a previous breaking and entering case in Damascus, Virginia.

Lowe was arrested on 28 felony charges. As of Friday, he was being held on a $240,000 bond at the Johnson County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
