Huntsville Utilities: Power restored after outage in South Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Utilities says power has been restored after a power outage in south Huntsville.

The utility company said electric operations crews responded to an outage affecting customers from Weatherly Road south to Mountain Gap Road and between Memorial Parkway and Bailey Cove Road Thursday night.

According to the company’s outage map, the outage in that area is affecting around 575 customers as of 10:12 p.m. Thursday night. The company said power was restored as of 10:49 p.m.

Huntsville Utilities said crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible. The utility company said the outage occurred after a tree limb fell on power lines along Shields Road.
