CMU awards millions to D51 graduating seniors
FRUITA, Colo. (KREX) — Colorado Mesa University stopped at five District 51 high schools during Senior Celebration Day to present scholarship checks totaling more than $11 million.
CMU President John Marshall said today was about “engaging with our local District 51 students and both celebrating them with over 11 million dollars in scholarships that are going to District 51 seniors this year at CMU.”
The scholarship recipients and fund amounts include:
Fruita Monument: $3,933,800
Grand Junction: $2,508,400
Central: $2,180,800
Palisade: $2,280,000
Caprock: $523,400
