Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Clear conditions will be with us overnight with showers and storms returning tomorrow evening. More storms returns on Memorial Day on Monday. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Skies will be mostly clear as we get into the overnight. Patchy fog will also be possible primarily after midnight. Temperatures will drop to the lower fifties along with calm conditions.

SATURDAY:

We start off the weekend on Saturday with warm and sunshine! Skies will be mostly sunny with highs reaching the mid eighties. But clouds increase in the afternoon with showers and storms moving in for the evening. It will be a bit breezy out there with winds from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY:

We dry out to end the weekend on Sunday. Skies will be partly cloudy out there with highs in the lower eighties.

WORK WEEK:

Showers and storms will move back in as we get into Memorial Day on Monday. Skies will be mostly cloudy out there with highs in the upper seventies. Chances for showers will continue into Tuesday as a cold front moves through. We will again cool off with highs in the mid seventies. Showers will still be with us on Wednesday for midweek as a low pressure system moves by our region. It will be cooler out there with highs in the upper sixties. Showers persist into Thursdya as well. Highs will be in the mid sixties. We finally dry out again to end the work week. Skies will be partly cloudy on Friday with highs in the lower seventies.
