Child attacked by family dog in Luling, hospitalized
LULING, La. (WGNO) — A child was hospitalized after being attacked by a family dog in Luling on Friday, May 24.
According to deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, around 11:30 a.m., they were called to a home in the 100 block of West Heather Drive reporting an 11-year-old boy had been bitten by a dog.

Responding officers said the child had been bitten in the leg and due to the blood, a tourniquet was applied.
Deputies report the child had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment. He was listed to be in stable condition.
The dog was taken into custody by the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter.
