Afternoon Briefing: Dolton trustees seek more transparent probe into mayor’s Las Vegas trip

Good afternoon, Chicago.

Four Dolton trustees and the village clerk called for an outside investigator to look into a recent trip to Las Vegas spearheaded by embattled Mayor Tiffany Henyard.

Thursday’s action come after Henyard recently blocked the Village Board’s request for outside agencies to investigate her for allegedly misusing village funds. The board may vote to override that veto next month.

Low enrollment to close Ingleside Catholic school, despite raising funds to cover budget deficit
