Watch: 16-Foot-Long Python Makes Its Way Through an Australian Neighborhood

Are you a fan of snakes? I am not, so imagine my horror when I stumbled across this TikTok that Andrew Anthony posted on Sunday, August 27th of a 16-foot python making its way from the roof of a house into the treetops!

The video is about a minute and a half long, and it's being recorded by someone outside watching the snake climb from the roof of a house (their house or maybe a neighbor's) and into the trees next to the home. You can see his body that seems to be never ending moving along, and then we see his head come out of one tree and head towards another. The child you can hear screaming in the background is screaming for all of us!

There are some things you just have to see to believe, and this is one of them. This is the kind of thing that nightmares are made from! You can hear the child ask, "How are we getting him away?" and an adult responded, "We won't." I don't think I could live there knowing that he was in the trees!

@iamiandyi's video has been viewed nearly 29 million times in just a few days. People can't believe what they're seeing! In his caption he wrote, "Only in Australia will you see a 5-meter-long carpet snake in the suburbs." The carpet snake, or carpet python, is native to Australia, and I hope never to see one. People thought that the video may be fake, but MSN verified it is in fact a real video and not at all doctored.

Commenter (there were nearly 70 thousand comments) @WilburRoni speaks for all of us, "I did NOT need to know that this was possible." There's a part two to the video, though it's significantly shorter. It was almost as if the snake was going to fall out of the tree! I've seen enough snakes for the day, that's for sure!
