Target's New $24 Linen Jumpsuit Is So Similar to Free People and Is the Comfy and Stylish Spring Staple You Need

With springtime comes the perfect excuse to wear more linen pants, jumpsuits and dresses. Sure, it’s not the warmest time of the year (yet), but linen is a pretty versatile material. What better way to get yourself ready for summer than revamping your closet with something flowy and light? To help with your linen dreams, Target just dropped a new smocked linen jumpsuit that’s so similar to one from Free People and is great for those in between months of warmer (but not too warm) weather.
Target’s women's apparel brand, Universal Thread, released the Women's Smocked Linen Maxi Jumpsuit and it’s already a great deal. It’s made of 55% linen and 45% rayon to deliver a “soft fleece fabric” that’s “lightweight” and “offers breathable comfort.” The “smocked” aspect of the jumpsuit is what the rouched, puckered textured front is called, which allows for a stretchy top. And the flowy pants really add to the overall sunshine and springtime vibes of this trendy style.

Originally $30 and now $24, the smocked linen jumpsuit has a square neckline, straight leg fit, spaghetti straps and, of course, pockets. It also comes in four colors (black, coral pink, olive green and tan) and sizes XS to 4X (though some sizes are already sold out in certain colors).
As we head into spring and summer, these types of linen jumpsuits are going to become a closet staple. And this one from Target is pretty similar to the Homecoming Jumper at Free People, which is made of a “linen-blend fabrication” consisting of 55% linen and 45% polyester. Also similar to the Target jumpsuit, Free People’s has a smocked top and wider, flowy legs. It also has pockets, and while it comes in so many more colors—10!—it only comes in sizes XS to XL.
