I didn’t know I was waiting for Shania Twain’s renaissance—the Shaniassance if you will—until it was underway. But when I thought, “Oh wow, it’s nice to have her back,” it hit me that she’s been out of the limelight for far too long. No need to cry over spilled milk, but what’s important is she’s here gracing InStyle magazine covers and performing in a big way with a Las Vegas residency.

I recently caught wind that celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos (who counts Amal Clooney and Gigi Hadid as clients) worked with Twain for Haute Living. I needed him to, once again, divulge how he made her hair look so full and sleek yet achievable. He mentioned a few products, the most exciting of which was Garnier Fructis’ Hair Filler Strength Repair Serum.

Thank your wallets for Giannetos because besides working on some of the best tresses in Hollywood, he doesn’t gatekeep the products he uses, and they’re often under $15. Such is true in this case, where the Garnier Fructis Hair Filler Serum in question is just $9.

This is my introduction to the product, but I think I would have gotten around to it either way because how intriguing does “hair filler” sound? This is a vitamin C- and citric acid-formulated serum that purportedly makes hair stronger and reduces breakage. In theory, this should lead to fuller, longer hair. Giannetos tells InStyle he’s “obsessed with Garnier Fructis’ Hair Filler Strength Repair Serum for bringing [damaged] hair back to life.” And although he calls it “salon quality” it's, once again, just $9.

I haven’t tested it myself (I will fix that shortly), and it is a new product, but the reviews that have come in so far are overwhelmingly positive. One shopper praised it for their “post-menopausal hair.” “I only use a little, but it really seems to help my old, thin hair look fuller and have a bit more life,” they wrote. Another said it works better than a popular product three times the price.

It’s used by a pro, responsible for Twain’s cover hair, and last but not least, it’s loved by shoppers. What more could you want? Head to Amazon to shop Garnier Fructis’ Hair Filler Strength Repair Serum, plus a few more staples below.
