Find out when your favorite farmers market opens for the season

Springtime means warmer weather, outdoor fun and of course, farmers markets.

There are multiple farmers markets across St. Clair and Sanilac counties, with each one offering a variety of fresh veggies, fruits and other products. People can find more farmers markets across the Blue Water Area by visiting bluewater.org.

Here's when their seasons start.

Lexington

Opening day for the Lexington farmers market will be May 11 in the Mama's Eatery parking lot at 5435 Main St. Market days will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday. The Lexington farmers market will end on Oct. 26.

Marine City

The Marine City farmers market will have its first day on July 4 at the Marine City Lion's Club, located at 545 Ward St. It will then take place between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday until October.

Marysville

The Marysville farmers market has a new location for the 2024 season. Opening on May 17, the farmers market will be located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Huron Boulevard, at the Marysville ice ponds. The market will then be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Friday until Oct. 25.

Port Huron

The Port Huron farmers market will soon be at a new location. Starting May 11, people can find the farmers market at the corner of Quay Merchant streets. The market will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday until Oct. 26.

Port Sanilac

Opening day for the Port Sanilac farmers market will be May 10. People can find and buy produce from 1 to 5 p.m. every Friday at the Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum, located at 228 S. Ridge St. The market will close for the season in October.

St. Clair

Opening day for the St. Clair farmers market will be June 12. People can peruse produce from 7 a.m. to noon every Wednesday at the market's locations, 201 N Riverside Ave. The St. Clair farmers market will close for the season at the end of October, depending on weather conditions and availability of products.
