Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Unlock Every Vocation

dragons-dogma-2-special-vocations

Vocations are the lifeblood of Dragon’s Dogma 2. These determine what weapons, armor, and abilities you have in and out of combat, and changing it will completely alter your playstyle and party composition. Aside from the four vocations you can choose from at the start of your journey, you can unlock six more as you progress. Two of these can be applied to both you and your pawns, while four are just for the Arisen.

We’ll explain how to unlock every vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, so you can wield any weapon you choose at any time you please.

Warrior and Sorcerer

When you first enter the guild in Vernworth, the owner there will tell you that you can’t unlock Warrior and Sorcerer yet, as they are short on Greatswords and Archistaffs, which means you’ll have to provide your own to unlock the vocation. Thankfully, there is a spot in Trevo Mine, where you can find both of them, so check out our guide to see where it is.

Mystic Spearhand

Mystic Spearhand can be found quite early on if you know where to look. This fast-paced melee and magic class can be found by talking to Sigurd in Harve Village, where he lives.

Trickster

Capcom, GLHF

The Trickster is a weird one, as it makes you fight with a phantom of yourself, rather than fighting directly. Plus, it gives you a couple of unique abilities, like detecting nearby Seeker’s Tokens. You can unlock the Trickster by talking to the oracle in Battahl, who you’ll encounter during the game’s main quest.

Magick Archer

Capcom, GLHF

Capcom, GLHF

Magick Archer is exactly what it says on the tin, it’s an archer that uses magic to fire their arrows. It has a lot of great utility aside from ranged damage though, as it’s able to do things like heal and revive allies from afar. To unlock this you need to head to the west coast of the Volcanic Island, where a dwarf with a bad back will set you on the path to unlocking it.

Warfarer

Capcom, GLHF

Capcom, GLHF

Warfarer cheats slightly, as it’s a mixture of all the other classes. With it you can equip more than one weapon that you can cycle through, mix-and-matching the abilities of every other vocation you’ve unlocked so far. To get it, head to the Volcanic Island Camp and talk to the drunkard, Lamond – make sure to bring something he can drink.
