Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Unlock the Magick Archer Vocation

Why be a regular archer, when you can be a Magick Archer? This is one of the special vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that you have to unlock out in the world, and cannot be learned by your pawn. It’s easily one of the best ranged classes in the game, as it combines the explosive power of magic classes with the quick action and relative safety of an archer.

We’ll explain how to unlock this class so you can get into the action without being too close to the fangs and claws of your foe.

If you take the western path onto the volcanic island in the south of the map, you’ll find a dwarf along the road who can’t walk due to a bad back – he’s just by a campsite on the coast. He’ll ask you for three medicinal plants to help him, which is a simple enough task as there are plenty along that very road.

Do it and he’ll ask you to visit him at his home, which is on a smaller island just off the coast of the main one. Head there and his wife will be untrusting of you. Still, after a short conversation, he’ll agree to let you take him to the hot springs to heal his back. You’ll need to escort him from his home to the Volcanic Island Camp east of his home – if you’ve set a Portcrystal down there you can use a Riftstone while carrying him to get there quickly.

Once unlocked, the Magick Archer vocation can be acquired from any Vocation Guild.
Capcom, GLHF

When you deliver him to the springs, his wife – who was secretly following you – will appear and say that you’ve earned her trust. She will then grant you the Magick Archer vocation.
