When we think of a Doberman, we think of a guard dog with cropped ears tied to a chain protecting a property. Am I right? However, while Dobermans are dog breeds specifically bred for being guard dogs, some Dobermans guard entirely differently, in a more gentle way.

Dobermans are known for their high level of intelligence and are considered one of the most trainable dog breeds. They often excel in obedience training and are quick learners.
These dogs are known for their strong loyalty and affection toward their families, and they often form a close bond with their owners.
Cowboy's owners must have trained him well.
I mean, look at him!
He probably thinks his mom is cold and wants to go to sleep, so he tucks her in and gives her a kiss!
I have to do the exact opposite and tuck in my 40-pound Pit Bull and give him a good-night kiss.
Maybe Cowboy just wants to protect his mom with the blanket since Dobermans are naturally protective, and their strong instincts make them excellent guard dogs. They are known to be alert and responsive to their surroundings.
Despite their intimidating appearance, Dobermans can be loving and affectionate companions when raised in a caring and supportive environment.
I have no doubt about that. Cowboy is already an excellent guard dog and so sweet!
