Dog Dad Shares What His Doberman Gets Spooked by and It’s Hilarious

When you hear "Doberman," you immediately think of a protective guard dog with cropped ears and flashing teeth, right? Well, while Dobermans are initially bred for protection, they're actually quite sweet, and some are big goofballs.

The owner of the Doberman named Cowboy can vouch for the latter, as he shared in this hilarious video, posted on October 25, about what Cowboy is scared of, and it's a lot.

My Pit Bull is also scared of various things.

Dobermans, like other dog breeds, can sometimes exhibit unexpected fears or phobias. Just like humans, dogs have their own unique personalities and individual sensitivities.

While not all Dobermans will be afraid of the same things, some common fears and anxieties that Dobermans, as well as other dogs, may exhibit include certain weather conditions, such as gusty winds, rain, and snow, as well as unknown objects and loud noises.

However, Cowboy is also scared of flies, the stairs, and outdoor decor, among other things.

A lot of dogs get startled by unusual objects or items that they are not familiar with, like plastic bags or balloons. These items may move unexpectedly, make strange sounds, or have an unusual appearance, which can trigger a fearful response.

My Pit Bull hates flying plastic bags on a very windy day. He also hates the wind and, of course, the rain. I mean, which dog likes the wind and rain anyway?

This shouldn't come as a surprise, but the most common things many dogs are afraid of are often loud noises such as thunderstorms, fireworks, or even the sound of a vacuum cleaner. My dog doesn't care for fireworks or thunderstorms, but he's still a bit suspicious about the vacuum cleaner.

Cowboy is still young, so he may grow out of this phase once he gets more familiar with everything unfamiliar. However, some dogs could also experience social anxiety and be fearful of unfamiliar people or other dogs. This can be particularly true if they haven't been properly socialized during their early development.

That's why it's so important for dog owners to be patient and understanding when their dog exhibits fear or anxiety towards unusual things.

Gradual exposure and positive reinforcement training can help desensitize them to their fears and build their confidence.

Let's hope Cowboy will overcome his fears!
