Dakota Fanning Revealed if Having Children Is a Part of Her Plan in a Super-Rare Interview

While we’ve seen Dakota Fanning grow up before our eyes, from beloved chic star to verstaile, dynamite actress. Even throughout it all, though, she’s been quite a private celebrity. However, in a super-rare interview with Net-a-Porter, she revealed whether or not she wants to be a mother one day.

In the rare interview, the 30-year-old actress talked about how she’d love to be a mother one day, and how she’s choose that over her career, if need be.

“Being an actor is a huge part of my identity,” she said. “I don’t really know who I would be without it. But I also have a desire to set up my life and career so that I always have a choice.”

Fanning added, “Having kids is probably more important to me than anything, even being an actor. If somebody said I had to choose, I would choose having kids. I’m one of those people who has always felt that pull.”

Now, she didn’t specifiy her baby plan, but she did talk about that for now, she’s doing all the adventures she can before settling down with a family.

“I don’t know how I’ll feel when that time in my life comes — and how much I’ll want to work. But, because I don’t have that at the moment, I’m trying to take advantage of the adventures now,” she said. “I’m trying to push myself to keep saying yes to things that make me uncomfortable, to keep going to places for long periods of time that maybe I’m scared to do because — God willing — one day, it won’t be as easy.”

So a baby Fanning may be in her future!

Now, Fanning has been ultra-private about her dating life. The last person she was linked to was a man named Henry Frye, which multiple outlets have claimed they’re still together since Oct 2017, while others claim they broke up in 2021. (They still follow each other on Instagram, so that’s a good sign!)
