Crooked Eye Brewery to open at Fusion Kitchen. Here's what they're bringing to Chalfont

Chalfont will soon have a pin in the map of local breweries, joining Bucks County’s vibrant craft beer scene.

Thanks to a collaboration with Fusion Kitchen, in New Britain Village Square shopping center, Hatboro-based Crooked Eye Brewery is setting up a permanent second location inside the restaurant, where it can offer craft beers daily starting May 4 with a celebration featuring live music and a derby-themed menu.

The businesses started their partnership in November when Fusion Kitchen began hosting Crooked Eye Brewery pop-ups every Friday.

Those nights grew such a large following that Fusion’s husband-and-wife team, Chef Walt Marshall and Kristin Marshall, who started their restaurant and catering business in 2021, strongly believed it was a relationship worth building on.

“It’ll be something different for Chalfont, and we’re excited to bring that into the town,” Kristin said.

For Paul Mulherin and his partners, Jeff Mulherin and Paul Hogan, the chance to expand the 11-year-old brewery into Bucks County while joining up with another family-owned business was a perfect match.

“It’s not just a kitchen, it’s a family atmosphere with the employees and everyone. It’s the same exact feel we have at our brewery, it feels like family, so it just seemed like a good fit,” Mulherin said.

Fusion Kitchen has undergone some minor renovations to create a dedicated bar where Crooked Eye Brewery will serve its own craft beers, along with craft cocktails and Pennsylvania ciders, wines and spirits.

The satellite location will offer a rotating selection of beers on draft from eight taps, plus a guest tap to highlight other local brewers. Cans, crowlers and growlers will also be available for takeout.

With the brewery comes its large roster of local bands and musicians, who will perform Friday and Saturday nights at Fusion.

The restaurant’s menu will showcase a selection of dishes meant to pair well with the beers being served, along with many other favorite and new creations.
