Artifiact Brewing set to open Friday in Doylestown. What to know before you go

Downtown Doylestown is about to get a taste of something new.

Artifact Brewing, a craft brewery based in Hatboro, is expanding into Bucks County with its new Doylestown location, which is set to open Friday, April 26.

Founders Ryan McKinney and Matt Brzowski transformed the former Fine Wine & Good Spirits building on West Court Street into a welcoming taproom and brewery they hope will attract people from all walks of life to enjoy a pint or two of their wide selection of craft beer.

“We’re really excited to bring our beers and our vision to the community,” McKinney said. “I consider craft brewing to be somewhat of an art, and it’s cool to be a part of expanding the arts in town.”

Hatboro-based Artifact Brewing will be opening their second location in Doylestown Borough on Friday in the former Fine Wine & Good Spirits building on West Court Street.

The taproom features locally inspired details that give the space a retro agricultural feel, while paying homage to the town’s history, with its leathered granite bar top, live edge drink ledge, exposed wood beam ceilings, framed artwork of Fonthill Castle by photographer, Robert Fawcett, and Mercer tiles throughout.

There is plenty of bar and table seating inside the taproom with a window offering a peek into their brewing production space. And in warmer months, a garage-style door opens up to a small patio out front with views of the downtown.
