Carpooling Galapagos Sea Turtle Catches a Ride With a Friend in Cute Video
If you're a fan of cute animal videos, you won't want to miss this one that @oceansubiquitos shared on Instagram earlier in October 2023...it's a good one! Sea turtles are my favorite, and in this video, we see a sea turtle hitching a ride on his friend's back.
It's such a serene and peaceful scene: the larger turtle is toting the smaller one around for a ride. They're in no hurry at all; it's like they're out for a Sunday drive and just enjoying the scenery. Everybody needs a friend who's willing to give them a piggyback ride!
I wish @oceansubiquitos' video was longer...I could watch them all day. Some Instagram commenters thought the two might be mating, but that doesn't appear to be what's going on. It looks more like the smaller one is just hitching a ride and letting the larger one do all the work!
The video got more than 15 thousand views, which is a lot of Instagram, and there were some pretty clever comments left about it. @mrcovahee said, "They even have Uber drivers under water now"?! I immediately thought, oh they're carpooling, but @vidchoti thought, "Swimpoooling!" @Helensuga laughed, "I bet it was like "Hey man can I get a ride are you going my way?" LOL!"
I wish the video contained more details about the sea turtles, like where they are and what exactly they're doing. It's a cute video; I just wish that it was longer with more information about what the two are up to!
