They’re the most versatile pair of pants I own

A core tenet of my personal style is having a seasonal pair of pants to reach for that aren’t leggings or jeans. Incorporating this one staple piece adds variation to my wardrobe without requiring too much effort, and it keeps me from feeling outfit fatigue halfway through the season.

My go-to piece for spring and summer has long been a pair of lightweight, white linen pants. I like that the fabric is breathable during hot summer days and that they are versatile enough to pair with a sweater or tank top during transitional weather. And this year, I’m reaching for this $30 pair of Scoop Tailored Linen Blend Pants from Walmart.

I’m not the only one reaching for lightweight trousers for my spring outfits. Celebs like Katie Holmes and Sandra Bullock have styled the go-to piece, and Jennifer Lawrence proved how versatile this look is when she recently wore a breezy pair of cropped pants paired with a sweater.

Compared to other linen pants I own, I like that this pair has a more structured waistband and enclosure that give it a higher-end look despite costing a quarter of the price. I also found that the fabric is a little thicker, so I don’t have to worry about the white being see-through. I feel confident I can dress them up for a nicer dinner or quickly throw them on with a T-shirt for a day of running errands.

I’m relatively short, so I was worried that the wide-leg silhouette would overwhelm my petite frame. However, similarly to the pair spotted on Gwyneth Paltrow, I love that the wide-leg fit gives these pants some flowy movement while remaining structured. They do seem to run a little long, but otherwise fit true to size.

The Scoop’s linen pants come in five colors, including black, pinstripe, and white along with pink and tan that are currently out of stock. While this best-selling pant can be worn with a variety of tops, Walmart also carries two accompanying linen shirts, including the Tailored Linen Vest and Strapless Linen Blend top to create a matching set with your pants.

If you’re also looking for variation in your spring and summer wardrobe, consider adding a pair of these lightweight, linen trousers from Walmart to your cart while they’re still in stock. For more options, keep scrolling.
