Automobile titan Henry Ford’s former Georgia estate lists for $4.49M

Automobile pioneer Henry Ford’s onetime winter home, which now comes freshly renovated, has hit the market for $4.49 million.
Located just outside Savannah, Georgia, along the Ogeechee River in the city of Richmond Hill, the colonial-style property was constructed in 1870. It originally served as the cold-weather residence of the Michigan-born Ford Motor Company founder and his wife, Clara, for roughly 10 years in the early 1900s.
And now, it’s seeking its next steward. The listing is held by Kacey Howard and Danielle Hopper of Seabolt Real Estate/Luxury Portfolio International.
The current owners completed a thorough renovation of the estate in March — maintaining the four-bedroom’s historic charm while adding contemporary features such as a new kitchen, “premium finished, sophisticated marble baths, designer lighting and much more,” Hopper told The Post.
“Our goal was to carefully [pay] homage to the Fords” while introducing modern comforts, said Trip Addison, the owner who’s selling the house with his wife, Ashley.
In all, the white column-fronted Cherry Hill House has four full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms spread over its 4,215 square feet of living space. There are an additional 2,022 square feet of porches and verandas on both the lower and upper levels of the home, with the top-floor deck also offering a “bespoke beverage nook,” according to the listing.
The open-format kitchen with an island and dining area is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and fills with light. There’s also a separate owner’s entrance and a standalone four-bay garage with a speakeasy and a half-bath which, while brand new, is in keeping with the colonial style of the main house.
The property is located in the private Ford Field & River Club, a 1,800-acre gated community containing 400 residences and build-ready homesites. Amenities there include bridle trails, a deep-water marina, six lakes, pickleball courts and the Pete Dye Golf Course, which is visible from the rear of Cherry Hill House.
