Anne Heche's son, Homer Heche, has revealed that his mother left behind only a few assets amid his ongoing efforts to resolve multiple creditor claims.

Homer was made the administrator of the actress' estate after her death and has spent several months trying to determine the true extent of the estate. He has also asked for more time to resolve the creditors' claims and hopes to avoid protracted litigation over the matter.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Homer revealed that his mother left behind a small estate amid his ongoing efforts to resolve creditor claims filed against her.

This comes after he was confirmed as the administrator of her estate, despite the objection of the actress' ex-boyfriend, James Tupper.

In the recent court filing,  Homer claimed that "due to the numerous sources of income, coupled with the lack of records or financial organization by [Anne], royalty payment procedures in the entertainment industry, and the relatively unusual circumstances of [Anne's] passing and the resulting potential litigation, it has taken a substantial amount of time and effort to move the administration forward.."

In addition to explaining the delay in moving the administration forward, Homer revealed that his mother left behind a small sum in her bank account, residual income from pre-death projects, her personal property, and some income from other ventures, all of which totaled $110,000.

Homer's revelation comes amid his mother's estate being embroiled in massive creditor claims.

At the forefront of the claims is the one filed by the woman who resided in the house Anne collided with in August 2023. Furthermore, the owners of the property have also filed a claim. Collectively, these claims amount to $6 million.

Another former boyfriend of Heche's, Thomas Jane, also filed his own creditor's claim. He alleged that he lent the actress $157,000 in November 2022 and that she agreed to repay him at a rate of $10,000 per month but ceased payments after the initial two installments. Now, he is seeking reimbursement of the outstanding amount.

The actress also had over $36,000 in unpaid credit card debts at the time of her death, adding to her pile of financial woes.

Homer noted that in his filing that, "based on the anticipated value of the combined Inventories and Appraisals and the filed creditor claims, the Estate is insolvent."

In his filing, Homer stated that he is "actively engaged in attempts to negotiate appropriate settlement of the claims against the estate."

He hopes to "avoid protracted and expensive litigation against the estate" and that the "creditor claims can all be resolved fairly."

Despite Homer's ongoing attempts to get things settled, it is unlikely that the creditors' claims will be resolved soon.

One of the possible income sources, Heche's memoir, "Call Me Anne," has not fared well since it debuted in January 2023 after Anne's death.

According to Heche's son, "sales are not strong and only a very modest amount of total income is anticipated for the project," which is reported to be less than $25k.

At the time of her death, Heche did not leave behind a will. Homer became the administrator, but this was objected to by the actress's ex-boyfriend, Tupper.

In a filing, Tupper claimed that she emailed him a will while she was still alive, naming him as the administrator of her estate.

He also stated that Heche's son lied about the value of his mother's estate. Meanwhile, Homer argued that the will in question should not be counted as valid as it was not physically signed by the late actress.

After some back and forth in court, Homer was confirmed as the administrator, while Tupper's claims were shut down.

After her ghastly car accident in August 2022, Heche passed away and was eventually laid to rest in May 2023. She was buried in a private ceremony at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

"She loved everyone so passionately and deeply," a rep for Heche said in a statement, "and her children, her legacy, thank everyone for their support and love through this difficult time and are grateful to be able to honor their mother, on Mother's Day."

Heche's sons, Homer, 21, and Atlas, 14, also divulged why they opted to bury her at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

"Most importantly, Hollywood Forever is a living place where people attend movies, concerts, and other events," Homer told E! News at the time. "She was our Mom, but the kindness and the outpouring of the past few days reminded us that she also belongs to her fans, to the entertainment community, and now, to the ages."
