We leave you this Memorial Day weekend with an image from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This from Tim Cummins' photostream:

An old image from the 1929 Indianapolis 500 Mile Race. My Grandfather, age 19 at the time, is standing in the middle of the picture, and his younger brother is over his left shoulder. The driver is Leon Duray, sitting in one of his two Packard Cable cars.
