Why wait for an auto show to reveal the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro when there's a morning TV talk show, a former football player and a Broadway star to do it instead? If you were one of the regular watchers of "Live with Kelly and Michael" this morning, you too saw the redesigned Camaro share the stage with Michael Strahan and guest host Kristin Chenoweth. For the rest of us, here's the first image of the refreshed sports car, featuring a slimmer front profile, a new hood vent and a few other tweaks, but no major renovations.
So far, there's no indication that the Camaro receives any power upgrades to push its new look along; posters on the Camaro5 forum says the show's brief walkaround showed the 2014 also receives the wider LED tail lights used on European models, with some minor changes to the interior. (At least fans of the new Corvette Stingray can now say their tail lights don't resemble the latest Camaro.) We'll see the entire car tomorrow, unless it pops up with Sandy Kenyon on the rear-seat screen of a New York taxi first.
