City of Bakersfield website gets ‘Ask Your BPD’ feature

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The City of Bakersfield’s website now features, “Ask Your BPD,” where members of the community can easily reach out to the department and give their thoughts, opinions and questions 24 hours a day.

The purpose of “Ask Your BPD,” is to provide an easy point of access for the community to give feedback and input on BPD’s procedures, policy practices or to ask any questions you might have.

BPD said the new feature, which is live now, is not meant to request emergency services or report an ongoing crime as it will not be monitored on a full-time basis. For emergency calls, the department urges you to call 911 or its communication center at 661-327-7111.

You can use the new feature here.

The page will ask you to fill out a simple form with your question or concerns, leave a call back number or email and click submit.

If you would like to submit a complaint to BPD, the page also directs you to the correct page, which you can find here.

The pages were created so BPD continues to build relationship with the community members.
