BrightRidge online outage reporting down for maintenance Monday & Tuesday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — BrightRidge said its online outage reporting service will be down for maintenance on Monday and Tuesday, and that only outages called in by phone will be reported on the BrightRidge.com outage map during those days.

A news release from the company said software and server updates to BrightRidge’s advanced metering system will render the system unavailable from Monday at 10 a.m. until Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The technology updates will impact the company’s online outage map. BrightRidge said only large-scale outages and those called in by phone will be updated on the outage map at BrightRidge.com during the maintenance period.

Any customer experiencing an outage during the maintenance period is asked to call the company’s automated line at 423-952-5000 and leave a message, as online submissions will be unavailable. BrightRidge said messages are checked frequently.
