What Taylor Swift Would Look Like In A Kanye West Music Video
Taylor Swift and Kanye West have come a long way. Six years after West stormed the stage to try and wrest Swift’s moon man award from her delicate hands (because according to Yeezy, Beyoncé had the Best Female Video that year), the two musicians have forged a friendship — or at least a very savvy musical partnership.
At the 2015 Grammys, the performers posed happily together and what looked like an awkward photo op was actually a sign of things to come. On Tuesday, West, who has collaborated with everyone from Rihanna to John Mayer to Adidias, announced that a collaboration with the 1989 singer was in the cards. “She wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in,” West said on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. “Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work with.”
The creative partnership seems like a no brainer. Swift’s a softy, who mends her heartbreak with songwriting, while West seems to be on a new kick for total musical reinvention. In the last few weeks, he’s written a ballad for Baby North and took park in “FourFiveSeconds,” a catchy acoustic number with Rihanna and Paul McCartney.
It’s certain that the West/Taylor tune will be a chart topper. What’s even more certain is that West will decide what the 25-year-old country star will wear for the video.
If Inez and Vinoodh shot Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift (move over, Rihanna) and Kanye West dressed in denim.
