Watch How Much Fashion Has Changed in 100 Years

We might be living in the era of personal style, but fashion loves a trend. A new video, dubbed “ 100 Years of Fashion in 2 Minutes,” proves just how fleeting fashion can be.

Created by the lifestyle blog Mode, the video revisits 11 looks, one for every decade from 1915 to 2015. There are the t-strap shoes and gloves of the ’20s, the florals and shoulder pads of the ’30s, Coco Chanel-inspired tweed suits of the ’60s, a denim jumpsuit of the ’70s (that we’d totally wear right now), and a black ribbon/pendant choker necklace of the ’90s.

The final look is an outfit that you or your girlfriend are probably wearing right now: ripped boyfriend jeans, a leather jacket, and nude heels. It’s completed by today’s most important accessory — a smartphone — which is a subtle reminder of how far we’ve come from the lace turtleneck and feather hat tops days of the early 1900s.

With quick hits covering the Roaring Twenties, Jazz Age, and Baby Boom, this is one history lesson you won’t want to miss!
