What’s the One Hairstyle Sarah Jessica Parker Regrets?

Sarah Jessica Parker’s changing hairstyles are as iconic as Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes. In this episode of Timeless, Time Warp or Time to Hide, Yahoo Style editor in chief Joe Zee sits down with the legendary SJP and the man in charge of her locks, Serge Normant, to discuss the braids, the mohawks, the bobs, the curls—all hairstyles, good and bad.

Parker’s admitted to hating her short hair before. And the curly bob she showed off at the 2001 premiere of Wonder of the World earns a “Time to Hide” from Parker. “Serge cut it off for Sex and the City,” Parker, 50, reluctantly admits before swearing it’s not the best representation of his work. “That’s maybe time to be forgotten and to never be discussed again!”

The shoe designer is happy to reflect on her other looks though! From her “B.S.” days (“before Serge”) to beehives, bangs, and that epic braided faux-hawk she wore beneath a Philip Treacy headpiece to the 2013 Met Gala, it’s crystal clear why Parker’s kept Normant by her side for so long.

Swing by Serge’s new salon, at 336 West 23rd St. in New York City. It’s three stories tall and packed with Parker’s favorite products (like the Instant Volumizing Spray she says she can’t live without!). Plus, what’s better than getting your hair styled at the celebrity hairdresser of hairdressers’ namesake salon? (Julianne Moore and Julia Roberts are Normant’s loyal clients, too.) Like Parker insists: “Run! Don’t walk!”
