The Specialty Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA)'s 2020 show is taking place virtually next week, meaning it's now teaser season. Thanks to a new release from Mopar, we have a better idea of what Jeep is bringing to the show.

The Fiat Chrysler accessories arm shared a teaser featuring a pickup truck with a squared-off rear end supporting an external spare tire, jerry can for fuel, and top-mounted bike carrier. The entire rear design looks unique, but the cab shape and the Jeep branding suggest that this is a Gladiator modified for overland duty.

As CarScoops points out, it looks like the stock bed was removed in order to fit this customized overlanding setup. If that's the case, Jeep effectively used a Gladiator chassis cab for this design, something that isn't yet available to the public. Even if none of the other modifications make it to market, here's to hoping that this leads to a chassis-cab Gladiator being offered for sale. That'd open the platform up to dozens more overland builds, camper attachments, and cargo boxes that would vastly improve the versatility of the Gladiator.

Since it's already one of the most capable trucks off-road, that'd be huge for the custom overland build community.
