York County History Center moving to a different location

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– It’s not moving day for the York County History Center, it’s moving week.

The staff is packing up office supplies along with its library and archive collection. They’re moving from the current location on Market Street to a new location near Philadelphia Street and Pershing Avenue.

An old steam factory has been refurbished into a new history museum.

“It’s in the heart of downtown,” York County History Center VP of Marketing and Public Relations Dan Fink said. “We’re a block from Beaver Street and Central Market. Two blocks from the Revs stadium and the Appell Center. So it will really add to making downtown York an attractive visitor destination.”
