Yolo County officials seeking to identify deceased man who was found near railroad tracks

(FOX40.COM) — The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public to identify a man who was found dead near railroad tracks in West Sacramento.

Officials said the man’s body was found lying on a grassy trail near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near Yolo Street on April 16. Officials said the body possibly belonged to an Asian man who was in his late 70s.

Officials added that there was no identification attached to the man, who only had a receipt from a Taco Bell in downtown Sacramento in his possession.

Officials described the man as approximately 5 feet tall, 108 pounds with brown eyes and short gray hair.

The man was wearing a red short-sleeved polo shirt and a pair of cutoff jeans along with a white metal bracelet around his left wrist, officials said.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity is urged to contact the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office at 530-668-5280.
