Woman hospitalized in Manhattan shooting

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Police say a woman is in a Topeka hospital after being shot in Manhattan Tuesday morning.

The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) says it received a 911 call at 12:20 a.m. on April 23 for a shooting in the 1400 block of Watson Plaza. Police arriving at the scene found a 20-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

The woman was taken to a Topeka hospital via ambulance. Her condition at this time was not stated in the police report.

The RCPD is asking anyone with information on this shooting to contact Manhattan-Riley County Crime Stoppers. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
