Wild video shows torrent of water bursting out of NYC high-rise
Massive explosions of water could be seen shooting out of a Hell’s Kitchen high-rise Thursday afternoon
Wild video of the incident shows a large burst of water streaming out of a building at West 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue before falling onto the street below.
The FDNY told The Post Thursday afternoon it was responding to a water leak.
No injuries were reported and by 2 p.m. the problem had been mitigated, the FDNY said.
The fire department notified utilities to turn off the water while it worked to stop the leak, it added.
It was not immediately clear what building the water was spewing out of.
The FDNY could not say what had caused the incident.
