Monday cool ahead of cold weather

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Skies will gradually clear overnight as a cold front shifts off to the east, allowing temperatures to drop into the mid-40s.

Monday looks like a fantastic day, with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s under partly cloudy skies. Much colder air settles on Monday night, with lows dipping into the lower 30s. A freeze watch has been issued for the southern half of the area for Tuesday morning.

The first day of spring will not feel spring-like, with highs in the upper 50s despite sunny skies. Gusty winds on Tuesday will also make it feel cooler at times.

The sunshine is expected to stick around through Thursday before another round of rain moves in on Friday.
