Washington County launches ‘I Voted’ sticker redesign contest for kids

FAYETTEVILLE Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) – Washington County is holding a design contest for children aged 6 to 14 to redesign its “I Voted” stickers distributed to voters on election day.

Entry forms will be available for download or pickup from Washington County libraries, Election Commission Office and County Clerk’s Office starting July 17. All entry forms must be turned in by Aug. 6.

Forms must be submitted in-person at designated locations or by mail, according to the Washington County website. After the submission deadline, the Election Commission Staff will conduct one round of judging to choose three finalists who will be announced on Aug. 12.

The winning artwork will be announced on Aug. 28 and will be used during the 2024 Presidential General Election.

The contest is a fun way to engage these young future voters in the election process, Jennifer Price, Director of Elections for Washington County, said.
