Want to do an Easter egg hunt in Sacramento? Check out these 4 local events

The Sacramento area is celebrating the Easter holiday with festive events for all ages.

Here are some of the events in and around the city where you can look for Easter eggs, meet the Easter bunny and more.

Easter Egg Express

18095 County Road 117, West Sacramento

The River Fox Train in West Sacramento presents the Easter Egg Express. Running on weekends through to April 14, families can ride the train, hunt for eggs, enjoy activities and meet the Easter bunny.

General admission tickets start at $60 before taxes and fees. Tickets for children 2 years old and under start at $11.

Spring Eggstravaganza

3901 Land Park Drive, Sacramento

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Fairytale Town is having its Spring Eggstravaganza.

Kids can enjoy festive egg hunting games and crafts. There will be photo opportunities with Peter Cottontail.

There will also be a puppet show, called “Bunny Boot Camp.”

Early bird tickets are available until 11:59 p.m. on Friday for $15.

On Saturday, prices go up to $18 per person. Children 2 and under are free.

Easter in the Park

4040 Fourth Ave., Oak Park

There’s an Easter celebration at Fourth Avenue Park in Oak Park on Saturday.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the park will be filled with thousands of eggs, according to the EventBrite page for Easter in the Park. There will be face painting, balloons, music, vendors, prizes and games.

Admission is free.

Hoppy Hunting

985 Riverfront St., West Sacramento

On Sunday, Drake’s: The Barn is hosting its second annual Hoppy Hunting.

There will be a brunch starting at 10 a.m. and the egg hunt begins at noon. If you find special Drake’s Eggs, you’ll get a prize.

According to the beer garden’s website, the hunt is staggered based on age.

At 12:15 p.m., the egg hunt is for kids 8 to 13 years old. At 1 p.m., kids under 7 years old can hunt, and at 1:45 p.m., the hunt is for adults 21 and over.
