Victim of fatal motorcycle accident in Fallbrook identified by authorities

FALLBROOK, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A woman that died in a motorcycle accident in Fallbrook last week has been identified.

According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, Megan Elaine Vilardi, 40, of Fallbrook, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Via Monserate in Fallbrook just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 when she crashed into a retaining wall.

Two found dead at Santee senior living facility, Sheriff’s Dept. reports

Authorities say Vilardi is believed to have failed to maneuver a turn in the roadway, which caused her to lose control of the motorcycle and hit a retaining wall before being ejected.

A witness called 911 and law enforcement and fire crews responded to the scene. Vilardi was taken to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
