The full statement is below:

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the University of Wisconsin Green Bay for the incredible journey I’ve had as a student-athlete thus far. The support, guidance, and opportunities I’ve received here in the community have been nothing short of amazing. I am so thankful for the opportunity Coach Wicks gave me on April 18th (best day ever). It’s been a dream of mine to play basketball at the highest level and thanks to this experience, and the great coaching staff at Green Bay, I am able to evaluate my options and take the necessary steps. With that being said I will be experiencing the draft process while maintaining my college eligibility. I will also enter the transfer portal to explore all possible options including returning to Green Bay. Thank you for believing in me and helping me grow not just as an athlete, but as a person. Regardless of what happens Green Bay will always have a special place in my heart.

Local 5’s Kyle Malzhan had the following words on Reynolds’ decision to enter the portal:

Reynolds is coming off a marvelous season with the Phoenix for the one year he was with the program being named the Horizon League Newcomer of the Year. Reynolds averaged 20 points, 4.5 assists, and shot 51.1% from the field.

He was originally committed to play at Wisconsin last year but de-committed to join Coach Wicks at Green Bay after being coached by him at Wyoming for two seasons.

There’s no way to sugarcoat it other than it is a massive blow for Coach Wicks and his staff — that includes Reynolds’ brother Nick. Noah was a game changer in every which way for the Phoenix every time he stepped on the floor and his importance to the team was never felt more after being sidelined for the final four games of the regular season where the Phoenix went 1-3 in that stretch.
