Two 16-year-olds arrested for fatal shooting in SF’s Tenderloin District

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Two 16-year-old boys were arrested in connection with a fatal shooting last week in San Francisco, the San Francisco Police Department said. The victim of the shooting was identified as a 17-year-old boy.

The shooting happened at about 9:29 p.m. on March 28 at Hallidie Plaza, which is near the Powell BART station. The victim died at the scene.

SFPD’s homicide department took control of the investigation and identified the juvenile suspects.

On Friday, officers served a search warrant at a building on Turk Street. The suspected shooters and the second boy were arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center.

Authorities will not publicly identify the suspects due to their age. The victim has yet to be identified.
